Hyaluronic Acid Shows How Far Skincare Has Come
Skincare is one of the most overlooked ways for improving your overall look. When your skin looks radiant and young, everything else about you looks better, too. That’s one of the many reason we include hyaluronic acid in our “Elemental Beauty” supplement. It’s so easy for your skin to get dried out and look less than its best. Beyond that, there’s also evidence that this acid can help to smooth out wrinkles and fine lines. It has plenty of benefits, which is why we included it. In the past, people would try to have the best skincare for their bodies, but their methods, while dramatic, didn’t quite get the job done. It’s all the more reason why we’re lucky to live in the modern age.
Hyaluronic Acid: A Leap Forward
Perhaps you’ve heard of the ancient Romans and Greeks having “mud baths.” These mud baths would leave them looking younger and feeling better, their skin tighter and more radiant. Well, in many cases, these “mud baths” were actually giant piles of crocodile droppings. This may sound hard to believe, but many cultures actually believed that crocodile waste could help their skin. For example, the Egyptians used it as a facial mask. That even included Egyptians like Cleopatra, who would have had access to all of the best beauty techniques of the time. Instead of having to do this (which is to say nothing of actually having to find a crocodile as well) you can just use hyaluronic acid from supplements like ours.
An Elegant Form of Skincare
To go from the most disgusting form of ancient skin care (animal dung) to one of the most opulent, for more than a millennium, the Chinese used grounded pearls in skin care. They would take pearls that weren’t specifically meant to be used in jewelry and then would grind them down to a fine powder. Then, these would be added into facial creams and masks. This had many health benefits, and some products today still use some pearl powder. This shows that, throughout time, people have done everything they can to have the best skin possible. Now, instead of grinding up pearls or something equally extravagant, all you have to do is to take a supplement with hyaluronic acid and other potent ingredients in it.
